The client and the challenge

Training Thérapie supports injured runners, in particular with shin splints, the tibia injury that ruins the practice of thousands of athletes. The athlete-health market is saturated with miracle promises: “fixed in 7 days”, “the secret method”. Yet healing shin splints demands time, rigour and commitment. How do you advertise a demanding solution in a market that sells ease?

What we understood

The advertising reflex would have been to promise a quick result, like everyone else. We did exactly the opposite: explain the mechanism of the injury, say why miracle solutions fail, and own the fact that the right method requires commitment. In a market saturated with hollow promises, the person who honestly explains your problem instantly becomes the most credible.

What we did

Sixteen creatives tested over five months, with one thread: a voice-over story carried by a disillusioned runner who has tried everything, and who is finally told why nothing worked. The viewer does not feel targeted by an ad: they recognise themselves in a story. Then the usual testing mechanics: measure every angle, keep the best, iterate. The best creative went down to €0.64 per qualified lead.

exergue

Explaining why the effort takes long converts better than promising a quick result.
